About the Journal

Scope & Focus:
This journal publishes peer-reviewed research and scholarly discussion addressing the education, development, empowerment, and leadership of women in colleges of education. It emphasises studies exploring gender equity in higher education, women’s roles in teacher education, institutional practices in women’s colleges of education, policy impacts and challenges, curriculum innovation for female students, and the contributions of women educators.
Aims:

  • To provide a platform for high-quality original research on women’s participation in teacher education and women’s professional advancement in colleges of education.

  • To stimulate dialogue and advance knowledge about best practices, challenges, and innovations in women’s colleges of education globally (or in a particular region).

  • To promote gender-sensitive policies, inclusive curricula, leadership development and institutional change in teacher education.
    Article Types:
    The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, case studies, theoretical/methodological papers, and perhaps policy-oriented essays focusing on women’s education in the context of colleges of education.
    Review & Access Model:
    Articles are subjected to peer review (often double-blind) to ensure scholarly quality. Depending on the publisher, the journal may be open access or subscription-based — enabling wide dissemination of research on women in higher education.
    Intended Audience:
    Researchers, educators, policymakers, administrators of women’s colleges of education, teacher-education institutions, and organisations interested in advancing women’s roles in education.
